Who we are

We aim to deliver high‑quality, reliable services that meet the needs of our clients while generating a strong and sustainable return for the Council. As a commercially driven organisation, we balance public value with financial performance - ensuring our work supports long‑term investment in local services and communities. Operating in an innovative and entrepreneurial way, we actively explore new opportunities for development, growth, and expansion across all areas of our business. By continually improving how we work, adopting new approaches, and responding to changing needs, we ensure Amphora remains resilient, forward‑thinking, and well positioned to deliver lasting impact.

Why work with us

At Amphora, we bring people, services, and communities together through trusted digital platforms, responsive support services, and meaningful events. Across Connect, Helpline, and Events, our work ensures Colchester remains informed, supported, and connected—today and into the future.

What we do

We combine strong commercial expertise with public sector values to deliver practical, people‑first solutions. From powering digital connections through Amphora Connect, to coordinating complex citywide programmes and events, we work as a trusted delivery partner focused on long‑term value rather than short‑term gain.

Our work strengthens Colchester’s economy and supports long‑term community development by enabling local organisations, services, and residents to stay connected and engaged. Through Amphora Events, we create opportunities for collaboration and growth, while Amphora Connect helps businesses, partners, and communities reach the people who matter most.

We provide sustainable, scalable services designed to grow with the needs of our city. Whether it’s expanding digital reach through Amphora Connect, adapting Amphora Helpline 24/7 services to meet changing demand, or evolving our events programme, our platforms are built for resilience, flexibility, and long‑term impact.

Every project we undertake is designed to enhance lives, support wellbeing, and strengthen communities. Through Helpline 24/7, we ensure residents can access timely, compassionate support. Through Amphora Events and Amphora Connect, we foster inclusion, engagement, and a stronger sense of belonging across Colchester.
